Are you eating enough protein?
I test body compositions all the time and it’s very obvious when a client’s protein intake drops. The body would rather get rid of excess muscle than it would drop excess body fat. Your muscles make demands, are finicky, and if you don’t give them what they want they’ll just go away
They demand calories… cutting your calories too low and your lean body mass with say bye-bye.
They are finicky in that they need protein… a diet that doesn’t give them enough isn’t good enough nor will they accept carbs or fats as an alternative.
Sometimes getting enough protein through “REAL FOODS” can become difficult, that is why protein supplements are so popular. Real food protein sources do not typically come alone, meaning that you’ll be ingesting more fats and carbs, which may not be desired – when it comes to your overall diet.
